In 1495 or thereabouts, Leonardo da Vinci, the genius's genius, noted down a list of things to do in one of his famous notebooks. ​These to-do lists, written in mirror-writing and interspersed with sketches, are magnificent.

Leonardo was a big fan of Maestro Luca, better known today as Luca Pacioli.

Pacioli was a Renaissance Man – he was well educated and destined for a life in commerce, but he was also a conjuror, a chess master, a lover of puzzles, a Franciscan Friar, and a professor of mathematics. He was also the inventor of double entry bookkeeping and is often referred to as "The Father of Accounting and Bookkeeping" in Europe. And for that reason, today he is celebrated as the most famous accountant who ever lived.
